For several years, Silvio Palomo and Le Comité des fêtes have been developing a theatrical language woven from mundane conversations, repetition, and verbal tics. Through a collaborative process of improvisation, they closely observe everyday behaviours in order to uncover their inherently theatrical potential, creating a sense of wonder by revealing the uncanny within the ordinary.

Following the creation of La Colonie (2016), a four-part theatrical series, and Ørigine (2018), presented at La Balsamine in Brussels, Le Comité des fêtes continued its exploration of the limits of language and human relationships with Abri ou les casanier·e·s de l’apocalypse (Shelter, or the Homebodies of the Apocalypse, 2022).

Alongside his work with the company, Silvio has collaborated with his brother, visual artist and set designer Itzel Palomo, on Appel d’air, presented at the Giboulées festival of TJP, Centre Dramatique National d’Alsace, in March 2018. He has also worked with visual artist and scenographer Justine Bougerol on Terrain vague, a hybrid project situated between visual and performing arts.

Silvio is also a resident artist at L'L, where he is conducting a research project with Manon Joannotéguy on the fluctuations of the non-event.
