LAMA
Du calme tout est perdu
It could be a village hall, the remains of a faded ceremony. Something has taken place here and has left traces behind. The few letters that once formed the inscription “We are here for you” on the wall have disappeared.
There is a small stage with a microphone and a synthesiser, a few garlands, a lectern, a table covered with a paper cloth, balloons, glitter scattered on the floor, an abandoned lama costume, and cables trailing everywhere. The whole forms a kind of disorder — somewhat abstract — certainly something other than the simple aftermath of a party that could be cleared up in a single morning.
This state of decay suggests another temporal dimension, as if suspended. A stopped clock indicates that we are not within any precise moment of a real week. It creates the sensation of entering a space where everything has already ended, and where something important has been missed.
The place appears dead, and yet there is, in a jar, a goldfish still swimming.
